This two tiered plate features potatoes and trout roe. A white glaze was applied sparingly to a dark clay for the benefit of a matte finish. This was custom made for Forage Restaurant in Salt Lake City, Utah.
A wide and robust porcelain bowl frame fresh trout and brussel sprouts. The delicate material is fired to near melting point, giving the clay an impenetrable, hard body, and a smooth surface. Once fired, the white clay is sanded down twice to achieve a smooth, silky texture. This was custom made for Forage Restaurant in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Pickled onions, duck sausage, and burnt onion glaze adorn this simple serving bowl. Each piece is fired to cone 10 and sanded using granite sanding pads to achieve the proper texture for dining.
